Food and farming

Farming was one of the most important things for Greeks, they lived from farming, and ate what they grow. Some people also had land outside the city. The Greeks landscape and climate was difficult to farm.
Greeks ate many things such as grapes made into wine, olives, grain but only in October, bread (barley or wheat), and this food accompanied with cheese, vegetables, fish, eggs and fruit. There were some animals that they eat like deers, hares or boars; they were hunted only as addition to the food supply.
Greeks also used sesame seeds and honey, honey was kept in terracotta.
Slaves were also important because they served the food to guests.

They lived from farming, and ate what they grow.
